Morning Light Helps Teens In The Morning

There has been new studies done on morning light with teenagers and the studies show that when teenagers do not get enough sleep that it might be coming from not having enough morning light exposed to them. When teenagers get enough morning light it causes them to sleep better during the night and focus more in the day time.

Morning light helps with being able to stimulate ones body and these days teenagers tend to be spending more time inside instead of outside and therefore getting a insufficient amount of morning light which causes problems with the sleep and the waking up cycle. The Assistant Professor Ph.D Mariana Figueiro has been one of the ones to study this and she has been alarmed at how many teenagers lack morning light.

When teenagers do not get enough light it can cause them to have problems during the day and they might suffer from lack of concentration. If this happens they might also experience mood swings and other things in the morning which would effect them throughout the day. Ones who have morning light tend to be more alert during school while others who do not, their grades tend to be low and drop.
