Morgan Freeman: I can’t stand rugby!
Saturday, February 6th, 2010A lot of people think that actor Morgan Freeman is a Rugby fan because of his most recent film which he played in – called Invictus. Despite what the crowd thinks, however, Morgan Freeman wants to make it clear that he is not and never will be a rugby fan.
Morgan Freeman plays the role as Nelson Mandela and Invictus is directed by famous director Clint Eastwood. The film is focused on the World Cup that happened in South Africa the year 1995. Regardless of what the film was about Freeman still knows nothing much about Rugby.
Freeman said that he might watch the NBA Playoffs but he still is not that crazy about sports and just does not spend that much time learning about them if he does not have to. He feels that rugby was not concentrated on in Invictus but other people claim that it was based on the sport Rugby but he says it is mainly based and concentrated on Mandela.
He jokes about working with Matt Damon who is the co-star in this film. They do not get along that great. Damon did not joke about Freeman though and feels that it was an honour to work with him.
