Michigan State Preview
Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans fought hard in the 2009-2010 campaign, beating a number of quality teams despite having a few heartbreaking losses. Michigan State was led by junior guard Kalin Lucas, who had about 15 points per game. The Spartans also rely on Raymar Morgan, Durrell Summers, Draymond Green, and Chris Allen to carry the scoring load. New Mexico State Preview
The Aggies have had issues throughout the season with legal wranglings over two of their best forwards affecting their performance, but should be in a good position to make it deep into the bracket now they’re at full strength. Their regular season record was an unspectacular 22-11, but they could be a wildcard Cinderella pick in the 2010 tournament.

Marvin Menzies’s New Mexico State Aggies will certainly need to be on their best game if they’re going to be able to compete in this one. Their star, Jahmar Young, will need to show the type of form for New Mexico State that he has been showing throughout the regular season in the WAC if they’re going to put up a fight against the higher ranked Spartans.Michigan State Spartans’s 24-8 regular season record looks almost unbeatable in this matchup, but stranger things have happened
