Taking a trip to the doctor is something that many people can not afford these days so recent studies show that taking non-prescription medications that might simply just be stored in a cupboard might stop from not going to the doctor. Always read the side effects of any over the counter drug medication.

There are a few drugs that have been known to help with ailments that are minor and the Mayo Clinic Health Letter has a list of those drugs that are over the shelf and very helpful.

When having ear infections or needing to use something after swimming then Swim-Ear is said to be very helpful with treating the outer ear for any kind of mild infection. Mack’s Wax Away is also a good thing to keep because it has a very powerful ingredient that is active known as carbamide peroxide and that is what helps to dissolve the wax.

When having sore or moderate or maybe even just mild throat pain the spray known as Choloraseptic does help to relieve pain. Bismuth Subsalicylate also known as Pepto Bismol helps with traveler’s diarrhea, heartburn, upset stomach and regular diarrhea. Skin irritations, rashes and inflammations can be soothed by the non prescription medication called Hydrocortisone.
